My Second Hand Sale Presents...
Ok, I'll admit that I haven't run across ANY of these at yard sales or estate sales yet. But I used to play around on guitar a bit and if I do find one, I'll be keeping it for myself most likely! The best deal I ever found on a musical instrument at a yard sale was a 1976 Fender Electric Bass Guitar. I saw it and figured it was waaaay out of my price range, but I asked the guy how much he wanted anyway. His response was, "Five."
I assumed he meant five hundred and was ready to leave when he went on to say that his brother had abandoned it years ago and it probably needed work. He actually only wanted FIVE DOLLARS for it! I bought it and threw it in my trunk before anyone else could see me with it (I was the first one at the sale). It did need some work, but I was still able to sell it "as is" to a guy for a nice profit on eBay.
Anyway, if your reading this, you should know that although I'm selling off a ton of my stuff, I'm still experimenting with blogging and listing things in various ways. I want to sell my stuff, but I figure that I should throw in some entertainment value too. Hopefully, I'll have enough interesting content to keep you from falling asleep in front of your computer. This is an excellent blues jam featuring a vintage Les Paul...
