Collectors and eBay Sellers Wanted

Let's Help Each Other Out!

Hi everyone.  First off, thanks for visiting my site.  Traffic has really been picking up this year and it's pretty exciting for me to see.  I've been trying to think of ways to make this site the most informative resource that it can possibly be for both buyers and sellers of second hand and collectible merchandise.  I think I came up with a good idea that I'd like to give a trial run.  I need your help though!

I have a lot of experience selling items on eBay, but to be honest, my knowledge comes mostly from what sells well and it is rather general on a lot of topics.  There are some people who have a deep passion for what they collect and sell.  If that describes you, I have a proposition that might benefit both of us.  My current goal is to add a massive amount of expert information to this site.  To do that, I am looking for two kinds of people:

  1. People who specialize in selling some particular thing on eBay and who really know their product well.
  2. People who have a passion for collecting something.  It doesn't have to be anything well known.  If you collect toilet paper rolls from the 1960s, I'd still like to hear from you!

What I would like to do is start adding posts that are guest posts or interviews with YOU, the experts in your own little niches.  Obviously, the upside for me is that my site will get great expert content.  So to make it worth your while, here is what I propose:

For eBay Sellers...

If you are an eBay seller who is an expert, I'll include links (with images) in the post to YOUR listings.  (I'll show an example at the end of the post.)  I'm an eBay Partner affiliate, so this will help us both.  This site has been pulling pretty good traffic of late, so you'll have the chance to get your listings in front of a LOT of extra eyeballs for the price of writing a guest post or doing an interview with me.

For Collectors...

You will get to show off what you know of course, but if you have a website about your topic, I'll also be happy to link out to your site from the post (as long as it is not anything offensive).  That will work to get you some extra traffic, plus, this will help to establish you as an expert in your field, if that is your goal.

What I'm looking for...

If you choose to guest post, your article should be at least 400 words, but longer is better.  It must be completely original (I'll have to check it in Copyscape).  We can "talk" by email about what you'd like to cover.  If you would like to do an interview, I'll contact you about what points you would like to hit and come up with questions for you to answer.  These posts will also be all original material, but will be in a question/answer form.

What you'll get...

If you are an eBay US seller, I can give you image links to your current auctions.  (This has the potential to get you more visitors for as long as you have active listings on eBay.)  I'll also let anyone who posts link to their own site related to the topic they are discussing.

If you are interesting in sharing and getting yourself some visibility at the same time, please use the Contact Form to get in touch with me.  Obviously you have to use a real email, or I won't be able to reach you.

Here is an example of what will be shown for U.S. eBay sellers.  We all know that vintage Barbie Dolls are a great collectible.  Here are some of the current best deals on one of the more popular Barbies...
