Antique Hat Pins
It doesn't happen a lot, but every once in a while I'll find antique hat pins among estate items I've purchased. Often, they are buried amongst other small items that have been pushed aside or tossed into an old tin. Of course, you don't see nearly as many people even wearing hats for fashion nowadays, let alone hat pins.
There is definitely a contingent of collectors though who clamor for antique hat pins. They are an elegant finishing touch for those who wear them and an interesting little item just to collect. Antique hat pins make me think of standing in my Grandmother's bedroom and looking at all of her "stuff" that she'd had seemingly forever. Those days are long gone for me, but I suppose it is feelings like those that drive some to grab these beautiful little pieces of fashion history.

i have an estimated 30+ antique hatpins.they all belonged to my great grandmother, who was born in 1900.i dont know if they belonged to her mother, or were hers, so i have no idea exactly how old they are, or their value. how can i find out? some are simple, but several of them are very ornate!and most of them come in pairs. i would really appreciate your help with information.thank you.
