Second Hand Sale presents...
1926 McKeesport High School Yearbook
This is a very nice old find that I came across at an estate sale. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I run across old yearbooks on a fairly regular basis. This example however is in exceptional shape for such an old book. It also doesn't have any writing in it.
"Back in the day", McKeesport was quite a thriving city. Located just outside of Pittsburgh, it was the place to go for people living in the Monongahela Valley. Like most of the area, McKeesport was heavily involved in steel production. Many of the beautiful, spacious houses that still stand in the area belonged to the "Bosses". The area, unfortunately, was hit hard economically when the steel industry drastically downsized in the area. If you would like to see more photos of the yearbook and some other items I'm selling off, please visit my actual store at coolstuffifound.com
